Jose Peseiro has been appointed by the NFF yesterday. An appointment that has probably been placed under a huge examination by the Nigeria Football Federation.

The Nigerian Football Federation spent weeks and months before deciding who would take on the mantle from Augustine Eguavoen and Jose Peseiro is finally the man.

Many Nigerian football fans are astonished at how they went out for a manager like Peseiro. His records in the last ten years are nothing to write home about.

A lot of Super Eagles fans will be questioning the appointment of Jose Peseiro because the Portuguese man has recorded more loss than winning as a manager. A terrible record, it’s not something to cheer about.

Jose Peseiro has the philosophy of playing a 5-4-1 formation. That’s majorly his trademark as a manager, his team defends more than they often attack.

Unfortunately, that technique never worked out well for him in Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. He failed to make an impact with that defending belief.

Here’s how Jose Peseiro could set up his team in the Nigeria team:
First lineup;

Maduka Okoye has not been a very good goal keeper for super eagles but he could continue to be their first choice goal keeper under Jose Peseiro.

Leon Balogun could play as one of the central defenders for the team in a 5:4:1 formation and he could be partnered with Troost Ekong and Kenneth Omeru.

Zaidu Sanusi could be the one to play in the left full-back position for the team while Ola Aina could play in the right full-back position. Wilfred Ndidi could play as one of the central midfielders for the team when fit.

Joe Aribo could partner Wilfred Ndidi and Ademola Lookman could be the left winger while Samuel Chukwueze could play from the right.

Victor Osimhen could be the preferred striker for the super eagles under Jose Peseiro.
