Biochemistry as I heard is with little or no prospect, I have always had passion for Programming but I chose to study pharmacy due to some reasons...

After applying for 5 years I got Biochemistry instead of my preferred pharmacy I was left with no option than earning a degree even if it's biology education. But there's no energy in me for that course I feel like I'm wasting my time, funds are not forthcoming as it used to be too! I have to hustle too.

Now, Should I focus on learning an IT skill or continue schooling am in 300lvl

You can focus on both,so why chosing either of them?

With Bsc in BIOCHEMISTRY you can actualise your dream. It is just a long way.

Oga finish what you have started,dropping at this point will be a complete mess up.

Guy u get mind oo 5yrs for jamb 3yrs for BCH total 8yrs u don't even know his current age now plus struggling to get pharmacy at this point . Pharmacy which is now 6yrs in some unis what if at end he couldn't make, all effort and time will just be a waste.

I graduated from secondary 2010, I wrote jamb 5 times. I got admitted in 2015 n I graduated last year. I don't regret my decision so far because I'm from a humble background. It's not about how u quickly finish but where u end up considering the country we find ourselves. It's just my humble opinion.

Guy, nobody is chasing you o. No pain is comparable to that of regret. No matter the time it takes to achieve your dream, it will be worth it at the end.

Also, every choice has its pros and cons. So, just choose the one that won't give room to regret.

Finances and Time is a factor here.... I accepted biochem because staying another year then won't go well

Bros, you are already in 300level and I think BCH is 400level course. If you are good to graduate at either 400level or at an extra one year, I don't see any reason why you should drop out now! Finish and get your certificate.
As for your passion for programming, what have you done with that? You do not need to go to school to learn programming, all you need to have is a good laptop, internet connection and a focus! Which language have you chosen to learn, how far have you gone with the language, which project are you doing using your language of choice.
Many people that have developed good applications actually did not study programming in school, some did not even study science courses!

I took have been practicing python but I haven't been really consistent because I have to combine many things among which is School but with this ASSU strike I should be able to advance with the study but there's also the 8 to 9 POS attendant job am doing.

You see, currently I think Python is the easiest language for anybody to learn and work with. Make sure that you are consistent in your learning of Python and task yourself with projects, because if you leave the language, even for two days, you are going to forget many things! The more practice and job you do with your language the more proficient you become in that language.
I will also suggest that you think of how you can apply the python to solve some problem in your BCH or any other field like that.
Another advice I will give you is that you should be very focus. You have picked Python, do not let anybody come and distract you with words like "haaa, python is slow, why not learn C or Java". Please do not listen to such, stick to your python until you have become proficient in python before looking for another language. If you get distracted, you will be become jack of all trades, master of none!
