its my way of paying tithes. i dont give tithes to rich pastors but yet i see the need to help those who are struggling sometimes. this is how i help people who are struggling. i pay them what they want without asking for discount but first i would access the situation
1- you are hardworking and trying your best
2-of course you will be offering me something in return which i would then overpay for..

Tithes are given to God and not the pastors. Change this erroneous mindset. You only do yourself good if you PAY your tithes and not God.
It's good you give to supposed poor people because God will still bless you, it's one of His principles of prosperity but watch your blessings multiply if you pay tithe to God and disabuse your mind from thinking pastors that are blessed already without your tithes depend or need your tithes to be rich.

Quit that rubbish. A God that was supposed to have created the universe doesn't need to blackmail you for money. You cannot give anything valuable to God outside praise and worship according to real Christianity.

The doctrine of tithes is 419 pastors are using to live extravagant lives off their poor members.

This is why you're the cause...

What stops you from pricing it let's #1400 and after everything, you give the balance back to the seller or tell the seller to keep the balance?
This will go a long way and also won't cause inflation or put the next buyers in any unfavorable situation?
After all, all fingers are not equal, the seller will probably understand that some will help by giving freeing the balance and will collect the balance, instead of strengthening her resolution to inflate the price, since some people will buy and those that can not buy it at that inflated price should fvck off.

That is why we are different, the way you see things might be different from how I see mine. This is something I do consciously, I still price when I want to.

now guys understand that i somehow have the feeling that i got cheated. in fact i know i got cheated but i would need you guys to tell me if i got cheated or i did well. but that is not the story. the story is this so she brought the plantain. six in total and said 2000 and i knew right away i was being cheated but see sometimes as humans we have to look past this being possessive with our money stuff. you have to once in a while ( or frequently ) reward people who are trying and making an effort to succeed. dont always feel the need to squeeze every last drop of your change out of people or to beat peoples prices down to the point where they cant make a living themselves. ALWAYS have some bit of compassion for people and think about their survival too. stop pricing down people to where they can hardly make a living after working so hard

and so back to my story i looked at this woman, she is sitting under the sun all day i looked at her tray, there is maybe like 7 bunches of plantain in there. am thinking if she sells all today she gets 14000 but of course she bought the plantain somewhere else so she has to pay for the plantain too so at the end of the day what is her profit margin ? maybe for herself for the whole day maybe 3000 ? and she will buy food while sitting there for 10 hours so maybe she takes home 2000 ? she looked like she has children she will have bills and expenses etc etc etc. MY POINT IS THAT I KNEW I WAS GETTING CHEATED BY BUYING THAT PLANTAIN FOR 2000 BUT I DIDNT MIND GETTING CHEATED BECAUSE SOMETMES YOU JUST HAVE TO REWARD PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING SO HARD. AND SO I GAVE HER THE 2000 AND HOPE HER LIFE IS FINE.

Its not cheating, you knew deep down that the plantain is not up to that amount. You only gave that money as freewill and you doing the woman good too.
end of story

yeah the country is hard. unbelievably hard . i am a good customer to this mallam along that axis too. he sells mangos. the guy sees that i buy lots from him so he is always tryng to give me 2 extra mangos but i say NO I DONT WANT IT. whatever i take i would pay for. the guy is shocked. but he doesnt understand i am looking at his condition and i would feel bad collecting anything for free from him
Black people are too hard on each other. Is it the 1k that will kill you or? You see a woman selling things like that, what could she possibly be gaining off it? What if that is the only one she sells that day? How will she eat? She is obviously only trying to cheat for survival, why can’t we look past that? We lack the empathy needed for a society to grow. Continue to do as you have been doing, some of them insulting you have never being in a situation that they will pray to have a customer like you to help them feed better. They can’t seem to understand that we are all responsible for each other, it is unfortunately all man for himself. That is why we find ourselves the least developed race on Earth, our lack of empathy and concern for each other runs deeper than we could ever think.

Kudos.

I fully support what you did, a lot of people pay heavily for things that won't get appreciated for. But doing this for this old woman will send heaven rejoicing..If there are people like you, then we're moving towards a better Nigeria

i will give you an analogy about living conditions. you can be a vulcaniser in lekki phase 1and just to blow air inside somes tire is 200 per tire. and for 4 tires its 800 naira. yo can have 20 customers a day and make 20000 naira but the place you are making the money is an expensive area so when you want to eat lunch you will spend like 2000. OR you can live at ile epo oja where the place is economically rundown and to put air in someones tire is 30 naira per tire and that is 120 for the whole set and a day you can make 3000 naira and for lunch food is cheap because it is a poor area and you can eat lunch for 200 naira. so the guy in lekki makes 20,000 but his lunch is 2000 and his profit is 18000 or you can live in ile epo oja where you make 3000 and lunch is 200 and profit is 2800 a day. the choice is yours. i choose to live in expensive area where i can make big money but of course prices of things are more expensve too. its give and take grin grin

I would rather carry food to work instead of spending 2000 on lunch. Wisdom is profitable to direct

You do well jaree, don't. Listen to those guys talking ill at you over your money, you can choose to go on the street to give out any amount of money of your choice. Atleast, have seen that a lot on facebook.

If you choose this format in encouraging a seller, so beautiful I will say. A commodity like banana can not be bill so higher like that, what if you hear the price and leave, can she eat it herself? No. The seller too are intelligent, they wouldn't want to over bill, especially a commodity that has short life's pan.

After everything, you can check on my signature. Make an inquiry on you Designer Fragrance. Free delivery anywhere in Lagos. And don't worry, you wouldn't be over billed lol.

According to biblical standards (not your sentiments), that woman may not make heaven.

Psalm 62:10 “Place no trust in extortion, or false hope in stolen goods.

Just appreciate and justify whatever you want but leave heaven out of this. Heaven will not rejoice over fraud and extortion.
