This is an "interesting" omment from someone who clearly does not see racism in the photos below. Are they racist, insensitive or just a very small storm in a very small tea cup? judge for yourself.

This has to be the most ridiculous post I have seen in a while- but if you’re really interested in checking out racist stuff, I would suggest that you go to http://www.southafrica.info – the official South African site for touristy types- Here you can get a days trip to the same area and go see the indigents all decked out in colonial period clothing- they’ll even dance for you- now if that’s not exploitation then what is?- o sorry the answer is that approximately 26% of the population is unemployed and some people will do anything for money- including educating people on issues of national pride- but then they are dressed in traditional garb so by your definition this must be racist…, This blog is rubbish- 1st of all they’re not even in colonial dress- the waitrons that is- and if they are, then it definitely isn’t South African more along an Indian theme- so wrong continent my dear and wrong time period.

I would suggest that you are a racist yourself- the definition of racism being the belief that there are inherent differences in people’s traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race, however defined, and that, as a consequence, justify the different treatment of those people, both socially and legally. I.e- you see it you own it.

I honestly do not see the relevance of a wedding held in an impoverished area, providing employment to people- and having them wear red fezzes- as being racist- but then I am South African- and have stayed in this country and am working towards a better future. You on the other hand have probably never been to South Africa- have been talking to some cheesy expat who ran away when the going got tough and now sits on the other side of the world with his/her Mandela T shirt sprouting platitudes about how wonderful ZA would be if it wasn’t for all the racists there- point is darling…. most of the racists have left the country and now sit on the other side of the world with their Mandela T shirts….

It’s a themed wedding- that’s all- not some political commentary and not some white led hatred of the masses- and btw has anybody bothered to ask the waitrons as to how they feel about the garb- no?- thought so- it basically sums up the mass hysteria/ poo journalism/ lets incite to comment that this  has posted- so sorry if the place shuts down, sorry if the employees get canned and good one for the usual crap that gets out in the name of how-de-doo-dee…,  I have no problem what so ever in getting married in the country with a themed wedding- be it Pirates of the Caribbean or Colonial or Gatsby or whatever- good on the owners for having some initiative and shame on you for being so racist!

there is nothing racist in those pictures, the props and theme is actually pretty cool.

however the problem is the 'all black servant staff' thats just absurd , who would humiliate themselves like that?

I am white, and this is disturbing. Why anyone would want to celebrate the oppression of fellow human beings is beyond my understanding.
