Position: Dispatch Rider

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos (HQ)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure the motorcycle and the box are cleaned and ready for work before 8:30am daily and keep them clean all the time.
• Check motorcycle before 8:30am daily.
• Report any fault to the accountant/line manager within 24 hours of observing it.
• Ensure you wear your helmet while riding.
• Never use mobile phone while riding.
• Never be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while riding.
• Ensure there is enough fuel in the motorcycle for any journey.
• Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations.
• Be security conscious.
• Ride on reasonable speed on the highway.
• Ensure the company does not incur unnecessary cost on the motorcycle.
• Ensure all necessary papers are in the motorcycle always.
• Inform the Accountant / Line Manager before the motorcycle papers expire
• Ensure proper acknowledgements for all dispatches made.
• Run all official errands in a timely manner.
• Work as part of the team.
• Respond swiftly when you are called for any official assignment.
• Be polite to team members and customers.

Person Specification:
• A minimum of SSCE
• At least 3 years’ experience as a dispatch rider
• Valid Rider’s Card
• Familiarity with Lagos roads

Required Competencies:
• Must enjoy motorcycling and be a skilled rider.
• Ability to communicate, read and write.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure
• Have good numeracy skills for delivery and expenses records.
• Polite and able to get along with people
