My father once told me to always use the brain in my head to make decisions not the one below, he told me that a good mother and education is the best gift a father can give his child.
The other day he told me that a good father leaves inheritance for his children. For those of you who fall into this category, my dear u have something of value
Have u ever seen a father and child relationship that is only about greetings and well-being, how are you ?, how is school ?. It will then be weird whenever the father tries to engage the child in a conversation it will then feel as though they are strangers
Am not saying fathers don't try but I have learnt a valuable lesson that my children will be proud they have me as a parent
You can imagine the joy my friend had when he saw a call from his father that did not last up to 3 mins but he was glad his father called in fact the first in over 6 months
Pls if u and ur father have a good conversation u are lucky although I don't know if mothers are also like that
Pls u can do well to drop some hints about how a child can be closer with thier parent or as a parent how u are able to be close with your child

IMHO, whether you leave wealth to your kids or nothing, is irrelevant to the r/ship you guys have. the value of a father doesnt equate to inheritance/wealth. a son should be proud of his father regardless.

a good father is one that gives his children ALL THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO SUCCEED IN LIFE

Wealth does not necessarily have to be financial.
Living as a good example for your children and earning their respect by your sheer grit, hardwork, honesty, faithfulness are classified as integrity.
This is what is lacking in African societies today, where parents rush to steal so that they can stack away money for their children and you can see how terrible the society has become.
A father who gives his children education but fails to live a life worthy of emulation is a failure, this is the category most African fathers fall under.

a good father is a father who teach his children not just by using others but himself also.
he use his mistakes to communicate how to avoid mistakes and not only the mistake of others...
he describe the good and the bad ones around and the need to belong in the positive then live a life that will back up his teachings

any parent who claims he had never made a mistake will make it too difficult for his child or children to correct their own mistakes when they realize it
