They met at a party, he was the laid back guy who sipped his champagne and watched everyone else and oh well, as you can guess, she was the life of the party.

They called her the African Michael Jackson.

While trying to get a bike to take her home, he walked up to her and made the weirdest offer.

That night was the beginning of the an ill-fated affair.

A 35 year old rich introvert, he had only a year to live as told by the Doctors.
He wanted her to marry him and make him happy for 1 year. In his words, " he wanted to experience the joys of being married", they would spend the entire one year honeymooning round the world.

Just love and adventure.

In return, he would give her 50 million naira for her time and of course she gets to make the decisions as regards all the countries they tour. He just wants her to reciprocate his love, he didn't mind if age had to pretend.

Life had not been an easy for her, it was worse when it came to relationships, a friend had looked at her and told her it's as if she had been fated to meet only the sons of Pharaoh. She had nothing to lose by touring the world with a dying man, making him happy and being paid generously for it.

She agreed and that night was the beginning of an ill- fated affair.

They got married the next week in court and he bought her the most beautiful wedding gown she had ever beheld in her entire life.

Their friends were flustered; they wondered what was going on but the couple basked in the euphoria of being newly married.

The first touch point for the honeymoon was the Eiffel tower in Paris and that was when she knew she was in for the ride of her life.

Between Machi Pichu in Peru, The Grand Canyon in the US, Bora Bora in French Polynesia and a host of other tourist centres, Mide knew she had fallen irrevocably in love with this man.

It was not a bed of roses, yes they fought but she liked the way he re-arranged the roses and they made up.

This was her own fairytale, her own Alaadin. Tall, dark, handsome, rich, and an achiever. Well mannered, Soft spoken, kind and romantic. She was no Jasmine but she didn't mind.

One year has passed and filled with lots of love, explosive love making, shared silence and interests and passionate joy and love.
Dread began to build somewhere in her mind, she didn't want the money again, she needed him alive.

Sha had tried to imagine a future without him, it didn't make sense.

No one had ever loved her like he did. Sizzling, mind numbing and heart wrenching love.

This was her own Moses, but he wasn't fated to live long.

Two months after a year, with fat tears of what could have been, She gave her husband his last kiss as he wished, and bode him farewell to the afterlife.

And a while, then came Emeka, a rich importer with am igbotic accent promising her heaven and earth that he would take good care of her.

She looked at Emeka, and asked,

"Emeka, can you love me like you are about to die?
