Don’t Cheat On Her by Acehart: 5:45pm On May 28, 2022
“Here is another thing you do. You cover the Lord’s altar with tears, weeping and groaning because he pays no attention to your offerings and doesn’t accept them with pleasure. You cry out, “Why doesn’t the Lord accept my worship?” I’ll tell you why!

Because the Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage vows. Didn’t the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union.

So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth. “For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty, ” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.””

Yet the same God is written to have divorced Israel , before taking her back - Jeremiah 3 undecided

The same God allows for divorce in His New Covenant, and remarriage only in the case of fornication meaning the woman/man who has been cheated on does not need to stay shackled to the source of his/her heart break longer than is necessary - Matthew 5 vs 30 - 32 & Matthew 19 vs 1 - 11 undecided

Ephesians 5:25
'Husbands, love your wives
[seek the highest good for her and surround her with a caring, unselfish love],
just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,

1 Peter 3:7
'In the same way, you husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way
[with great gentleness and tact, and with an intelligent regard for the marriage relationship],
as with someone physically weaker, since she is a woman.
Show her honor and respect as a fellow heir of the grace of life,
so that your prayers will not be hindered or ineffective.

Cheating, isnt any part of the fruit of the Spirit

“For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty, ” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.””‭
Malachi 2:13-16
'13This is another thing you do:
you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with [your own] weeping and sighing,
because the LORD no longer regards your offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.
14But you say, “Why [does He reject it]?”
Because the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth,
against whom you have dealt treacherously.
Yet she is your marriage companion and the wife of your covenant [made by your vows].
15But not one has done so who has a remnant of the Spirit.
And what did that one do while seeking a godly offspring?
Take heed then to your spirit,
and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth.

16“For I hate divorce,” says the LORD, the God of Israel,
“and him who covers his garment with wrong and violence,” says the LORD of hosts.
“Therefore keep watch on your spirit,
so that you do not deal treacherously [with your wife]
.

Truly, God hates unjustified divorce. There are even several grounds to which a contract can be nullified amongst which are: There was a lack of consideration, and when fraud (namely false representation of facts) has been committed. The latter is the one the Christ made mention of in the Divorce discourse. In this text, it’s the lack of consideration of one’s vow. The penalties or consequences rather are immense.

Where in the Bible is this?

Ehen, since when did atheists start to believe in Morals. That is, being concerned with the difference between right and wrong?

How does the concept of the meaning of right from wrong even exist in their vocabulary?

I think I know, "oh it hurts me therefore it is wrong". "Oh, it's pleasurable therefore it is right".

But then because of the nuances that could be present in the examples above, you have fallen into a false dilemma, naturalistic fallacy and anecdotal evidence. (Google it)

How does one have Morals without a framework or source to measure what true morality is?

What is the source of this "morality"? Are we not just a blob floating through space with no meaning?

Is morality subjective or objective?

Why should one be judged wrong for cheating on another when he believes it is the right choice for him?

Questions, questions.

I don't think God will look favourably upon an abusive marriage.

This teaching is the reason Osinachi died. Cheating to me is not only bleeping another woman or man outside the marriage. The day you try to rob your partner's happiness then you've cheated.

If the marriage does not worth staying, then kindly get da guck.

can you point us to any place in the bible where it was recorded that marriage vows were exchanged between husband and wife?
