Samsung and Apple could soon compete in another market segment besides smartphones, tablets, and smart wearables. Apple is showing signs of entering the VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) markets, and the launch of its first VR/AR device could be around the corner.

Early evidence suggests that Apple chose the “RealityOS” name for the operating system powering its in-development VR/AR headset. The name is present in bits of Apple code and was recently trademarked by what appears to be a ghost company bearing the “Realityo Systems LLC” name. (via The Verge).
