yes he was. this is because during his time there was no religion that believe in the oneness of God except Islam. Only Idol worshippers and other minor religions existed at that time. But after his time was off, his followers made some changes to the religion which is unfair to Jesus. |

There was never a religion during the time of Jesus Christ. Jesus was sent to preach righteousness, how to live a good, peaceful and acceptable life, he never came to preach any religion. Islam combines the messages of all the previous prophets starting from Abraham (Ibrahim), Moses (Musa),David (Dauda),Jesus(Hisa), till the last, Mohammed (SAW). A muslim must believe in all the Prophets and their messages. He was not a muslim, what makes one a real muslim is SALAT, and i dont think he performed salat in his first coming. Islam has five pillars, any other person can do all the four but the big difference is SALAT. This is to the best of my knowledge. |
