Has nothing to do with America where such indigenous people are given reservations .... pretty much like animals on reservations in Kenya and other places. I just wasn't sure how they were not respected. Now I understand it is economic ventures are more important than their culture.....disruption of their way of life. That's sad. Think is Bangladesh... where the FG was trying to 'civilize" a tribe that insisted on living in thatched roof shanties... made them houses to suit their type of "furniture" etc .. and moved them in. The people ended up staying in the "modern houses" during the day and returning to their bush houses at nights. It's a shame how so called civilized us can fight tooth and nail for the protection of animals but not for the protection of fellow humans. One of these tribes is verrrry hostile to outsiders..... and another soon will be extinct... the one where they commit suicide when adults. Sad.
