Now That Lawan Is Losing Will Igbos Still Vote A Northern Candidate? by AntiMahdi: 10:55am On Jun 08, 2022
Since Lawan isn't getting the ticket and all hopes of a Yamri VP are now dashed, will the Igbos who have been telling us that if the APC doesn't zone the ticket to them that they will vote a northern candidate (which was supposed to be Lawan because of Umahi as VP), will they still be voting a northerner from another party?

As things stand now, they have the choice of Atiku and Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso has already picked a Yoruba man as his running mate and Atiku is most likely going for a SS as his, this leaves the Igbos out in the cold with only their last hope Peter Obi on the ballot.

The question to ask now is: are the Igbos going to follow through on their threat as outlined by Orji Uzor Kalu that if the APC doesn't zone it to the SE that they will vote a Northern candidate?

I still wonder why we think like this, are the Igbos the only tribe facing insecurity, high cost of living, ASU strike, poor infrastructure, and general bad economy, if they are, then they are the only loosers.

igbos will not even vote pdp to start with.

all sane Nigerians and those who genuinely love this country not fake love will massively vote Peter Obi.

while those who sees election as cruise, inter tribe competition and avenue to troll others will still vote for failures and if we win, a better Nigeria is sure but if they win, highest they'll do is Nairaland trolling and Twitter trolling then another 8 years suffering.

I love how Igbo politicians made a stand and stood by it.
we're voting for the best candidate among the 3
if we win we win
if we loose no love lost or gained.

I am responding because you addressed the comment to Igbos of which I am one.

I have different shops apart from my professional engagements to bother with lunatics on the net dragging and fighting between evil alternatives in the APC convention.

Do you know how much I have made since 7 am my business opened?

Work on yourself, your family, relations, and friends and network first.

We relate to politics because it's the government's sole responsibility to secure lives, properties and means of foreign exchange. Without these exclusives, most of us are independently very okay

You yorubas don't have the number at the national polls.

President Atiku is already jumping for joy. He will be having a monopy of votes in the North while the yoruba APC southern flagbearer can't boast of the same in the south. grin

Abubakar Atiku is your new president come 2023. grin

A good question. Although one will expect SE to vote en masse for Peter Obi, they can still vote for Atiku Abubakar. In 2003, they deserted Ojukwu for Obasanjo. And twice Buhari picked Okadigbo and Ume Ezeoke, they refused to support their own. It is however may be different in 2023

Their combo will be badass.

We tried that in 2019 and you igbos sabotaged that campaign on the empty promise of an Igbo VP.

Tell me why anyone will want to do alliance with you?

Umahi who was then in PDP paid for the campaign ground for Buhari and even rented crowds to attend the convention.

He didn't deny or hide it but openly declared that he did it because he likes Buhari.

When Atiku and Obi came to town he (Umahi) did not even bother to attend the rally but sent his deputy.

When Buhari was declared winner, this same okoro switched to APC just as all SE PDP chieftains switched to APC when Jonathan conceded to Buhari in 2015.

Even your shameless clergy, Mbaka used his pulpit to rubbish Obi and declared Buhari as the next president when Obi visited his church. In less than 2weeks after, Buhari sent envelopes of cash via the human bullion van Ganduje to Mbaka at the same Adoration ground where the idiot shamelessly accepted it and gave his "blessings" to Buhari.

Now tell me why anyone will want to align with you?

You guys are the number 1 backstabbing betrayers .

Even yorubas dey learn work where una dey.

The honest truth about the Igbo is that they are more comfortable being ruled than to rule.

Why?

Because the Igbo man is a tyrant .

The Igbos saw the tyranny of Ojukwu in their 3ys of Biafra and wanted not only Ojukwu out but to be free from another future Igbo tyrant . Hence the reason why they sabotaged their own war effort .

Just look at the kind of governors they have elected since 1999 and see how they behave like tin gods .

There is however a double tragedy about Igbo governance in that the Igbos are a very stubborn strong headed people who do not respond to reason but only brute force. It is for this reason that any Igbo governor must show his teeth or else they will take him as weak. It is prison politics they practice over in their yeast were only the most brutal can lead.

So since an Igbo rule can only be achieved over the same lawless igbos without an Igbo tyrant, the Igbo will rather have an outside rule over him.
