In southwest Nigeria where yorubas hold sway, the igbos have their highest population outside SE. in the whole world. They’ve intermarried, worked together, schooled together.

If not for some factors, Yoruba Igbo is as recant as Hausa Fulani.

Do you agree?

Ogbeni forget talk. Yes we close for business and social, but our politics no be the same. We as Igbos believe in a politics of fairness and equity, you believe in vindictive politics. Congrats to tinumbu on his successful buying of APC delegates votes, but Atiku is the next president of Nigeria in 2023. grin

He is already being congratulated by political bookmakers and pundits.

I don't do betting, but I am going to naijabet right now to place a million naira on Atiku as the next president. Do the same and recover all your bet loses from all these criminal betting companies at once. grin grin

Op you're correct-

If you go on twitter they are lots of YoruBas still rooting for Peter. Especially now that Osinbajo is seemingly not getting the ticket.

cool

I beg to differ

Igodomigodo (Edo/Delta) are our closest tribe to the Eastern Flank, Ijaw/Istekiri to the South, Hausa/Nupe to the North , Fon and Bariba to the West

God seperated Ibo and Yoruba with River Niger for a good reason and also put Atleast 5 tribes in between us, we were the ones who went to look for each others trying to mix water and oil because of Christianity

Ibo politics

1960 Formed coalition with Balewa and relegated Awolowo to Opposition and later jailed him.
Then broke up Western Region under guise of "minority rights" but suppressed Minoity rights in Ijaw and Efik areas
Suppressed minority rights in the North
1965 Another Coalition with Balewa
1979 Zik formed alliance with Shagari
1983 Zik continue alliance with Shagari.
1983 Ojukwu returned from exile and joined Shagari's NPN
1993 Ibos voted Tofa and celebrated annulment of election
THIS IS YOUR FAIRNESS AND EQUITY
It is not fairness and equity when you are not at the centre but Yoruba have always been in opposition and you think that is fair and equitable? The simple truth is your politicians are the most selfish and vindictive

When you make accusations study history and look in the mirror because you are more guilty of those things you blame others for. Facts are stubborn. You cannot make YOUR OWN facts

You people say more than this before APC primary. Tinubu even dared you all and even the cabal. He spoke to the principalities in the Aso rock, and still here he is. The APC flag bearer.

As it stands now, apart from emotions, Igbo people will help their future politics better by supporting Tinubu and Lagos. Tinubu is a fearless lion.

PS: The success of lagos is the success of the east.

2000 bought delegates is 20000% different from 200 million people. SW does not have the numbers, even if SE abstain due to injustice, Atiku will still win.

Supporting tinubu means we will have to wait for 16 years for power to come back to the south, supporting Atiku means 8 years for power to come back to the South and give us an opportunity. If you were in our shoes who which would you choose? grin

This is practical politics not emotions. Atiku will still do well even in the SW like he did in 2019.
Yes, tinubu is a fighter, but he already lost before the whistle is blown based on the statistics.

I expect him to now start spending his huge resources looking for hungry corrupt judges and courts like that of disgraced Justice Salami that will disqualify Atiku. That's his only hope, but I doubt he will succeed. grin

First of all, I liked your quote/comment. Surely, Tinubu will find it very difficult without SE, especially now that more Northerners are rooting for Atiku because of nothing less than the fact he is absolutely their own.

Atiku's victory will not guarantee SE Presidency in 8 years that's all lies. Tinubu is a camp to seriously reckon with. Even if Atiku win now, Tinubu is coming back again! May not be him then, but his loyal comrades.

If Tinubu can appoint/approve igbo commission in lagos, what makes you think igbos won't have better chances and federal representations with Tinubu?

There are no guaratee in politics but chances, probability and possibilities.

The SW voted the APC against southern interest in order to get ticket in 2023 what stops the SE from also voting the PDP in order to bargain in the next 8 years?

If the SE wants presidency which they deserve, which would you choose between the two scenarios;

1) Voting SW and waiting for 16 years WITH ZERO GUARANTEE of SE presidency?
OR
2) Voting North East and waiting for 8 years with some glimmer of chance (no matter how little) of SE presidency?

This is practical politics and the East is choosing the second option.

Let's hope the igbos will choose right after all.

BTW, Tinubu did not bought all those delegate votes. If all his votea were bought, then his comrades all over the country paid for it, and you will agree with me that these comrade didn't take this commitment to see Tinubu loose the general election.

Looking at this margine of Tinubu victory, you will agree with me that he would have beat both Atiku and Wike together at any primary poll.

Must you always sound tribalistic...stop hate, Tinubu did nothing wrong to igbos or no one. Forget about anyone crying and moaning, that is people's personal business, we are talking about having a progressive head in power.

Again 2000 bought delegate votes and 200,000,000 people are not the same. His closest contender in the north Lawan is seen as a featherweight rubberstamp. North loves strongmen and fighters like buhari and Atiku.

Atiku is who we are voting for in the East because it is the shortest route for power to come back south again for the East to lay justified claim to it.

Atiku is a veteran in politics,

- he has the numbers as a northerner,
- he has appeal in the SE/SS.
- He is part of the powerful Northern Oligarchs.
- He can campaign in Hausa and speak directly to the talakawas.

His camp knows all these and that's why they rejoice as we speak.

Politics in Nigeria is markedly predictable. Removing emotions out of the equation, everyone knows where power will reside come 2023 based on current geopolitical statistics.

Even tinubu's camp knows this, that was why they were desperate to have PDP field a loud, garrulous and tactless candidate like Wike on PDP's ballot in the phoney guise of 'Southern unity'.

Who told you that yorubas and tinubu supporters ever loved the man they christened 'wicked Wike', when he was violently eliminating Rivers APC members in 2015-2019? grin
