Many people had opinions about Tinubu running. Saying he will be betrayed by the northerners, that he will be betrayed by the Yorubas, that he will not win the APC ticket at all. However one thing is clear, the ones who wail the loudest, are rarely those that end up being correct. Against hatred, insults, blackmail, social media trolling, attacks, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged VICTORIOUS as the APC candidate. There are a few lessons to learn in regards to this.

1. Yorubas United Can Achieve Anything

Don’t get me wrong, I mean those that are TRULY omoluabis. The ones doing the ground work in local politics, those working with delegates, those in transportation unions, those that are willing to put in the WORK for the future of Yorubas and the country overall.

I am NOT talking about the traitors. I am NOT talking about the ones that are willing to contest for the same prestigious job you are contesting for after getting them a job in your company. I am NOT talking about the ones who bend with the wind of social media because they lack self esteem and value being liked over common sense and facts. I am not talking about the backstabbers. I am talking about the REAL omoluabi. And a United front can achieve ANYTHING.

2. The Hausa - Fulanis Can Partner With The Yorubas in Good Faith

Prior to the primaries, there was a lot of talk about how the northerners will ultimately betray Tinubu in the APC. How Buhari will end up forcing the norther delegates against Tinubu. How they will never zone to a southerner. All have been WRONG!!! It has become quite clear that those peddling these lies are likely those from the hate filled region and their miscreants.

3. The Days of Yoruba Traitors Are OVER

Many people thought that other Yorubas will turn on Tinubu. That Yorubas will be the ones to take him down. On the contrary, Yorubas stood FIRM on the Tinubu mandate. The political tactician that has turned the SW region the number one destination of citizens from ALL other regions. For that I am proud!

With that being said, we can’t talk about traitors without talking about Osinbajo. A man that has let his Twitter clout cloud his judgement and sanity. A man that sincerely had forgotten just how much power and influence he had belonged to one man and one man only, Tinubu. Well when it came time to separate the two, everything became crystal clear. Left to his own vices, Osinbajo wouldn’t have come CLOSE to being a VP let alone president. And with this gamble, his political career might just be over. Tinubu has proven it time again, yes he can be a Kingmaker and elevate you to great heights. But he can also bring you down just as fast by simply walking away and supporting someone else (or himself). Ambode was exhibit A, going against the master plan set out by Tinubu and previous administrations. And Osinbajo is now exhibit B. This is a tremendous breakthrough and an example that has been set, that Yoruba traitors have no power in the region, and will ultimately be EMBARRASSED. Be a traitor at your own peril.

4. The time is NOW for Yorubas to Use Their Talents and Structure to Benefit Nigeria at Federal Level

The Yorubas have long since thought that of given the opportunity and freedom to change Nigeria for the better, it can reach heights never before seen. There’s a reason during the regional govt days that the SW had the first skyscraper in Africa, the first television station in Africa, free education, healthcare and all other benefits that enabled the region to thrive when it had its own power and autonomy. Since then, Yorubas haven’t had its own autonomy in its own region or even at the federal level, until now.

With Tinubu winning, and more importantly with the WAY that he won the primaries, he has reached a level that gives him autonomy to lead as he sees fit. He CRUSHED the primaries with over 800 more delegate votes than 2nd place. He is far and away the most supported APC candidate right now, and if he’s able to win the presidency, he will answer to no one to run it how he sees fit. With that, I expect a master plan similar to what he has laid out in Lagos. Strategies and institutions that will stand the test of time for the next 50-60 years. With the ultimate goal of taking Nigeria to the next level.

Time will tell what the future holds, but one thing about Tinubu is when he says he will accomplish something, he never fails. He said “EMI LO KAN!”, and he was undoubtedly correct, he is the last man standing. He says he will change Nigeria for the better. That remains to be seen, but we are eagerly watching.
