I'm 39 years old and am yet to settle.I run a remote and online business in addition to my work.

I have a niece (daughter of my cousin brother) who lives with one of my relatives.Last two months I travelled home and that was the first time we met.

She's 16 years and in ss2 while am a graduate.We plan to settle together when she's done with school but my family members are pushing back.How do I do?

She's my only option and I can't break up with her.

He didn't say they were getting married immediately. Besides, age of consent for most countries ranges between 16-18. She'll have been in her twenties by the time she's done schooling.

She's his cousin's daughter. They're not directly related in a way. If she's not being coerced or anything and tgey feel mutual about each other, I don't see why they can't be together.

In many parts of the world Blood brothers marry sisters. Egyptian dynasties maintained their pure Greek blood by doing just that. They were the pharaohs. Queen Cleopatra was one on of the only queens to break that tradition.. she even had her younger brother murdered just so she would not marry him.

Even in the north here brothers and sisters of the same blood intermarry their kids. That one is the most common the world over. Even in England especially among royalties. It used to keep a particular bloodline pure. You'll often see people doing this a lot with animal breeding.

A man marrying his niece is not odd at all. Go to Mexico and other Latin American nations they encourage it strongly.

Done with school, is very likely to be secondary education not tertiary education because if the OP's story is true, then he is so eager to pluck her young and can't risk her first going to a University/Polytechnic that would "open" her eyes as she would meet so many young men on campus.

What else do they do in Nigerian schools? I can't think of anyone who actually goes there to study anymore
