Sadly for the so called diplomat, he's not q Nigerian and he's not running for anything in Nigeria.

Siemens is already in Nigeria doing similar to what they did in Egypt and the German president that negotiated the deal and the Nigerian government did not go to Egypt to learn anything.

The clueless diplomat scored his own goal.

What exactly is Siemens doing here already? Is it not just the power sector?

1. Do you know how much Egypt is way ahead of Nigeria in many other sectors? It's not as if Peter Obi wants to learn from Egypt is limited to their power sector.

2. For someone who wants to do something meaningful in saving his country, will he work with the template the Nigerian government will give you as the cost of executing a project?

Don't be surprised at the end of the day Peter Obi will find out that whatever Siemens signed with Bihari's administration was hiked up 7x.

In summary, there's nothing wrong with what he's doing.

I always tell my friends that Peter Obi will not give out money. We must know this and be free. Money will go into logistics and media and refreshment but not to people like PDP/APC always share to.

It is hard being around politicians without discussing money. I still wonder how he will win without those people that always demand for money to mobilize block votes.

#2023 will be very interesting

What’s good about the response? You endorsed that because it came from Arkwright…a British and a former high commissioner to Nigeria?

That was thoughtless and stupid coming from someone like him. Sowore is right unfortunately. He didn’t condemn the mission rather the timing of the trip. Obi should’ve travelled quietly to Egypt, this is time to build bridges and intensify his efforts to convince Nigerians that he is the right man to be the next president of Nigeria. He should’ve done his home-works, research and learnings….travelling to Egypt at this time exposes him as unserious and ill prepared to confront and address the many problems facing Nigeria.

Learning from other countries who have broken similar challenges being presently faced by Nigeria.

What does Nigeria have to learn from Egypt that is far ahead of us in all ramifications. We do not share similar ideology, culture and system of government.

We could as well learn from America, Germany or the United kingdom if we desperate to start from the top, which will still be of no use.

Rwanda and Ghana are fastest growing economies who happen to just be coming out of the shackles and challenges being presently faced by Nigeria, and such destination would have been worthwhile as their are still evident developmental tracts which are visible and presently working for them.

If you must import ideas, you have to import from where best fits your scenario. Not importing ideas from Alaska to West Africa.

LOOK AT ALL OF YOU MAKING NOISE. THE BUHARI, TINUBU, AND ATIKU YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT, THE ONLY TIME THEY TRAVEL ABROAD IS TO FLEX AND FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT. PETER OBI IS ACTUALLY TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO FIX NIGERIA BEFORE HE FOCUS ON HIS ELECTION CAMPAIGN AND YOU'RE COMPLAINING. YOU'D RATHER ANOTHER PRESIDENT THAT DOESN'T HAVE A SINGLE IOTA OF IDEA HOW THIS COUNTRY SHOULD BE PROPERLY RUN.

Give me a present who loves the country Nigeria.

Nigeria needs a president who loves the country Nigeria. not one of the political candidates have mentioned how they intend to unite Nigeria. and the love they have for Nigeria as a nation. your country is like your family who you love and want to do well.

Igbo people based everything on senseless emotions with very little strategy or wisdom. They tend to attack you if you criticize their candidate…the same candidate they will sell without any hesitation.
Can you imagine if that was jagaban that took a silly trip in the middle of a presidential campaign? The flatheadss would have come for his head.
They throw stones at everyone except for those that come from their various villages…But will sell each other very quickly at a very cheap price. They remain a very interesting group of people; confused, greedy and blind.

I’m 100% sure that Sowore is now on the list of things the FlatHeadsss hate.

Obi choose Egypt, a fellow 3rd world country that got electricity right. He has his reasons of which you cannot know any better.
Anyway, he made his choice, those that wish to learn from Alaska, Germany, rwanda, Ghana are free to do so.

same Egypt came to Nigeria to learn what he is going over to learn. fundamental and system importation is one other problem killing us.

the structure is on ground but the problem in Nigeria is deploying our human capital rightly, (brain drain is the issue). clamping down on corruption is a goal (efcc and icpc are on ground) does he need to go to Egypt to learn how to deploy both agency.

Osinbajo speech during the primaries says it all, everything needed is on ground just the right leader is all we need likewise the right followers.

Everything needed is on ground and he wants to start from where his boss stop. I ask you did Buhari stop / is stopping on a good note?

Learning what exactly in 3 days?
Its not learning per say with wisdom which you lack you should know its a meeting to discuss these issue and get to know how they fixed their own problem when It arose. No be course to study its a discussion. And same discussion can continue even when he isnt there but first you have to go and make contact with the solution or solution providers

He is not going there for apprentice. If you are facing challenges in your business and you heard about someone doing a similar business like yours, who faced the same challenges you are facing and overcome it, won't you go to that person for ideas on how to solve your problem? Will you need to spend a year with him to get ideas? If you have sense, even 1 day is enough to learn from a successful person.
Your problem should be with people like Tinubu and Atiku who are only going around meeting politicians they think will help them win election. They are busy preparing to succeed in election, while Obi is preparing to succeed in governance.
See, Buhari is not a bad person. He failed woefully in governance because he was not prepared for governance. He promised us heaven and earth just because he wanted to win election, yet he was never prepared to deliver. We need someone that will bring a different approach to solving our problems, and that is what Obi is going to learn. You can't continue to do things the same way and expect a different result. Atiku and Tinubu will only handle our problems the same way Jonathan and Buhari handled, and that will not lead us anyway.
If you really want things to improve in this country, then vote wisely in 2023.

Can you please be specific on what similar ideology, culture and system of government have to do with understudying power generation and educational development?

The last time I checked, Rwanda and Ghana are still in baby steps and incomparable to Egypt. Shouldn't we at least start with countries with functional examples of what we want? And isn't Egypt the closest within reach (save for SA)?

I've read some comments asking how he could study those in 3 days, really? So he's supposed to take up a residency in Egypt for years to have a meaningful discussion about the policy choices and how the country garnered the policitical will and made sacrifices to better their country?

Common guys, such trips is not to learn the mechanics. He needs to have discussions and see the paths they followed, how much it cost them, timelines, companies involved, etc.

Some of you Nigerians and una type of education amaze me sha!
