I miss peppered & roasted catfish. The boiled one is a huge turn off for me too much bones to deal with.

I am cool with catfish, nile perch and scumbia but tilapia does not cut it for me, I find it too much bones.

Those days while growing up, I used to see my mum mashup dried tilapia together with pepper.. I never asked why because I don't care.. but thinking about it now, it could be because of the bone or just to taste nice in soup without being the highlight of the dish
