If Obi and Kwankwaso go the field separately based on how things are today, Obi will get more votes than kwankwaso , no capping. This is not because of Obi's political capacity (kwankwaso is a stronger politician no doubt) but because of the interests pushing Obi's candidacy viz:

1, The entire igbos spread across the country due to the obvious marginalization Igbos have suffered over the years. That is a lot of votes.
2. The youths who are keying in in their numbers to the Obi candidacy. A lot of votes.
3. Proponents of Southern President for 2023 who do not like BAT. Lots of votes aswell.
4. Most likely, Tinubu is taking a muslim as VP, this would also swing a lot of Christian votes across the nation to Obi.

How many million votes do you think all these stated above represent? Definitely over 5million.

Note also that since both of them are not in government to use government funds, they will have to mobilize funds. Obi will definitely mobilize more funds that Kwankwaso. People are already committing lots of funds on their own to the project.

Once Obi takes a VP slot, he losses well over 70% of those votes, so he cant even try it. Meanwhile, Kwankwaso will still be able to keep over 80-90% of his support base if he takes a VP position.
