It is quite unfortunate that that thread that was suppose to address this scripture was a mockery, because people that doesn't know anything about the Bible are those commenting on it, it is time nairaland regulate those commenting and making post on Christian posts, it is not helping, whereas everyone has their tolerance level. Now to Matthew 8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

What that scripture mean is that those that are sinners and after the flesh are dead when they are alive, the physical is controlled by the spirit, and whosoever did not give the chance and opportunity for the spirit of his or her creator to control him or her is already dead, like the common adage, the river that forget it's source will surely dry up.

Similar scripture 1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

Is the physical controlled by the spirit or is the physical instead able to allow itself be controlled by spirit, which is it?

As for the dead, well, Gentiles are born dead to God's Laws. It is only when we chose to believe in God that we are made alive AK born-again under His Law..
