There is nothing illegal about that, the right to sell determination is enshrined in the United nation, if you want Ijaws or any other people to stay in Nigeria give all a level playing ground with a bit of ability to direct their destiny, between nairaland is not Nigeria's law enforcement it a platform to air views which should serve both Patriots and rebels if every interest shall count

When Adaka borro wanted Niger Delta Republic, the reason he was taken down was becuase he was a rebel, he was neither a representative nor a public servant, same is applicable to IPOB and Kanu, and Sunday Igboho, if you want to ask for secession, make sure that your people sent you to do that.

As for Ijaw Republic it is within your right to ask for it but make sure you carry your people along, by first letting them send you to represent them, then on, the other issue with with Ijaw Republic but that's secondary is the map, I know it might all seem like we joke around here on nairaland, but if Nigeria is going to divide there is going to be serious meetings or serious bloodbath, as far as the Igbo nation is concerned, we have a slight of entangled destiny with the Ijaws which MUST be either peacefully or violently spelled out, that's just my concern, apart from that anyone us free to live the union if they feel that the cost of staying is higher than the cost of parting
