I just bought this car from auction export with $3,000 and according to the review i have read online, Nissan products are becoming scary to use.

I would like to hear from nissan users. What have you experienced so far about their product ? Do we have experts that can fix it here ? What do you think about CVT transmission ? Can this car cover a long distance without having problem?

It's a reliable vehicle all round. The engine is very okay too but the transmission is where the problem may occur often. Ensure you get the original nissan CVT transmission fluid along with the vehicle.

Nissan. Resale value is also whack in Nigeria just enjoy it for some years and sale it to someone who like to drive rare vehicle

Change transmission fluid every year if possible to extend the transmission life and for the love of God ensure the fan isnt run direct and don't let the vehicle overheat, the transmission gets itself cooled from the radiator if possible afix an extra external cooler.

Changing it every six months is extreme but if you have the money, no problem. Heat is what kills CVT faster reason I said to fix an external transmission cooler to help reduce heat especially this our bad traffic prone environment

It's not all bad news actually. That car can be sensitive and can be very temperamental, most especially if you deviate from any manufacturer's recommendation. If you generally prevent abuse, it should last you a long time. Preventing abuse however may be expensive.

The CVT transmission is actually not that terrible in recent models like the previous ones. Against popular opinion, it is actually one of the few transmissions that can be easily rebuilt as long as the "belts" are fine. You can replace literarily any other thing in that tranny and get away with it. Compared to the crazier "13 pin" in Toyota's, I feel this is still more reliable. Again, just stick to the recommended fluids, and possibly install an external transmission cooler if you will be doing a lot of long distance travel.

If you cannot pay attention to details in the car, the car isn't for you. If otherwise, you may give it a shot.
