Because they're benefitting from the system to an extent they're not bothered by all of the Nigeria's woes and the plight of the poor. Funny enough this same class of people are the ones that will be fighting for Canadian visa or any avenue to escape from the mess that gives them the means to escape. It's quite ironic.

Who can really blame them? When there's no real sense of national identity you might as well only look after yourself.
