Remember how BATifieds always brag that Tinubu "built" Lagos (we have trashed that one ) without Federal Govt allocations? Stating that Obasanjo stopped Lagos state allocations.

Oya gather here cos I've gone to verify that claim, & my finding says that the claim is balderdash.

As seen in these screenshots, the only thing that was stopped was Local govt allocations; & this was because BAT went ahead & created additional 37 LCDA, In addition to the already existing 20 LCDA, making it 57 LCDA; & Obasanjo insisted that he can only pay allocation to only constitutionally recognised Local Governments.

Also, this wasn't peculiar to Lagos alone. Niger, Katsina, Nasarawa, & Ebonyi states had the same penalty handed down to them for the same offence.

As the screenshots clearly state, not only did Lagos state receive full Federal govt allocations, the Local Govt allocations, which were only stopped from 2004, were eventually released IN FULL before the end of Tinubu's tenure.

I've always heard he withheld state allocation, and I believed that..

Didn't know it was only Lga allocation..
