seriously. . . . . .it is only when parents fail that they blame the derailment of their kids on celebrities. i listened to rap all my life. i never used drugs, smoked, kill people or join any group of gangstars. as a sensible child brought up in a cultured environment, you cling onto the good parts of these celebrities and delete the chaff. . . . .that is what i will expect my kids or any other kids out there to do.

a black boy once told 2pac he wanted him as a role model. . . . .2pac told him he is a lost child cos martin luther king or malcolm x should be his role model. these celebrities did not enjoy the same background most of us had in a normal family set up. some of them were raised by crack addicts, drugs fiends, etc. it is a bit unfair to expect them to lead the life they never had or got used to growing up. we are all products of our environment - let us stop criticizing people for what they are.

Because some few kids were able to know what to pick and not pick should not mean we can assume all kids can or should be able to. Natural Science will tell you that their brain is still being developed and will be shaped by social influence.

just like driving is a necessity to you. . . . .drugs are necessities to fiends. besides, these are artistes required to put high level performances every time they hit the stage. not every one of them can shoulder this huge responsibility so the godfathers in the industry introduce them to drugs. now which of the great artistes(dead or living) never took drugs - i cannot think of one. bob marley, fela, mike-jack, 2pac, notorious b.i.g, da grin, etc. they all used drugs social or recreational - and they used it because they needed it.
