The early parts of it were spent arguing religion with Christains and Muslims. Later on I moved to the romance section but na werey pipo full there so I was just ghosting around NL till google redirected me to the Xiaomi thread.

Omo see brains there. Funnily enough, it was also the period that I took it upon myself to learn about smartphones. This was four years ago.

So while I was learning, I would hang there with people who knew their shit. It was very interesting. It was more of "let's discuss smartphone tech" instead of the "solution center" it is now.

I started writing here because many people do not know a lot about smartphones. No one else does that. Some people did try but along the line they dropped out. Even the other bloggers never post full articles. Na post and run them dey do.

At the risk of bragging, I am the ONLY ONE WHO DOES THIS. I don't make any money from posting on Nairaland. Ask Seun if you can.

I have articles on places like Reddit, Medium, MacForums etc. that have over 100k views, but on Nairaland, they never ever make FP. Ever. Meanwhile copypasta from marketers are immediately forwarded to FP.

Do I care a hoot? No. I post here to share knowledge. Knowledge is power. To share knowledge is to empower other people. I don't always get it 100% but I do my part.

What actually pisses me of is that there's a group of people on this section, they never post or educate anyone. They never try to correct false impression/advertising. All they do is wait around for other people to post so that they can criticize. Most of the time, their criticism is stupid at best and destructive at worst.

A very good example is my post on why people should avoid phones meant for India and China. You can read through and see for yourself. It's quite old now.

Many of them will not post to educate people. To put two simple and correct sentences together is an issue but they'll be lying in wait looking for ways to tear other people down.

It is stupid, infantile and reeks of degrading low self esteem.

It is why I'll always love people like Skywalker240, flamees, Hakeem4, poweruser, Hakem12, Krazydave16 etc. Smart people who read and offer corrections where needed and everyone learns.

That useless attitude must stop. Some people will post that Helio G88 is the most powerful gaming processor alive and they'll never come out to correct such misinformation. Ever.

And the worst part is that the moderators WILL NOT see anything wrong with the words they are using, but once you reply them in the same manner, GBAM!!! you'll be banned from commenting for 99 years!!!

I used to read all of your informative posts and I personally appreciate the depth of valuable information in all your posts.
The matyrs like you have left this dustbin site a long time ago, even those in the car talk section as well.
They would rather take their posts/articles to places where constructive criticism would be given and everyone will share information together like one big loving family.

It was through nairaland I get to know brands like umidigi, Xiaomi et al.
I am currently using blackview because I buy phones with good specs not phone brand (name).
Besides, transsion phones are overpriced.
