July 23rd was an exciting and fun-filled day for both the attendants and hosts of an Aro-Okigbo event in NY, USA. At this event, hundreds of guests from all over America and Igboland contributed to what is called "the hottest dance of the year" and some stumbled into Nollywood stars Desmond Elliot and Innocence. Both of these guests had made their unnancounced debut at the event to support Igbo culture, and the Arochukwu people in diaspora. Although, Desmond Elliot mysteriously slipped away a few hours into the event, the atmosphere was still very lively with dance and merriments, and the famous Aro-Ohafia War dance.

That war dance, is of Ohafia or Arochukwu?. Whatever the answer, I like that dance and they have toured round the world with it especially the Ohafia brand.

that is the Aro version of the war dance. It's the same as the Ohafia one but the only difference is the wrapper, in the Arochukwu one the warriors wear Omu Aro. Arochukwu adopted it from Ohafia since in the olden days, both of them were close allies.
