Hi folks,

I want to share some diseases that are caused by Drug Addiction.

Drug addiction causes many severe Lifestyle Diseases Like,

Decreased immunological response and infection:
Many intoxicating substances, particularly alcohol, cocaine, and opioids, have euphoric effects that can lower inhibitions, increasing the likelihood of engaging in risky sexual behavior and developing a STI. The production of white blood cells by the immune system is directly impacted by some drugs, such as cocaine, which lowers the immune system's ability to fight illness.

Cardiovascular Conditions:
Drugs administered intravenously may potentially have detrimental effects on the heart, including local and systemic vascular inflammation, infections of the heart valves, and a risk for increased exposure to a number of bloodborne infectious diseases.

Digestive disorders:
Orally taken substances that can affect the digestive tract include alcohol and prescription pharmaceuticals like opioids and ADHD medication. Opioids can induce persistent constipation, while other drugs can upset your stomach or make you feel nauseous or make you throw up.

Liver harm:
Particularly alcohol can cause a variety of liver conditions, from relatively mild steatohepatitis, also known as fatty liver, to more serious inflammation, such as alcoholic hepatitis, to progressive fibrosis and scarring of the liver parenchyma (cirrhosis). A risk factor for the emergence of liver cancer is cirrhosis itself.

Kidney illness:
Large quantities of any harmful drug in the blood will have an impact on the kidneys because they also filter toxins out of the bloodstream. Some medications can cause rhabdomyolysis, a condition where muscle tissue breaks down and releases toxic amounts of myoglobin and other big proteins into the circulation. As a result, the kidneys may become overburdened and unable to filter toxins effectively.

Neurological conditions:
As central nervous system depressants, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and other sedative-hypnotics lessen excitatory brain signalling and increase feelings of calm or relaxation. These medications are also linked to memory loss, substantial cognitive impairment, and mobility issues at high enough doses.

Respiratory difficulties:
Smoking any substance can harm the alveoli in the lungs and increase the risk of infections in the upper respiratory system.

Rehab Encourages Healing from Substance Abuse Problem
It's crucial to undergo a thorough rehabilitation programme and safely detox with the assistance of a medical professional in order to halt the negative effects of intoxicating substances. A Rehab Program provides treatment to comprehend the causes of substance misuse issues and to develop coping mechanisms to prevent relapse. When a substance misuse or addiction problem is resolved, the body has time to recuperate and any physical harm can be lessened or reversed.
