Na just food and clean water i dey load dem.. Dem no go sick sef, regular poultry house cleaning helps a lot.

But no discourage people frm using drugs on them. No be everybody no drugs style go work for oo.

Not saying that quality feed and water can't do it though, the problem here is the quality feed is far more expensive than those managing with the so called expensive drugs.

You mentioned Veterinary Doctors a lot. No DVM holder will recommend you drug your birds daily. That's insanity, the bird's liver will go friable and shut down. Majority of the people that present themselves to farmers/pet owners as such are quacks, unfortunately. If you meet a seasoned ambulatory vet, you will feel the difference.

When you rear birds in small numbers, the performance is better. Even the big offtaker farms are now doing cluster cage system in floor pen houses.
You mentioned still using a little tetracycline. That's very ok. Even Aviagen cannot claim to run multiple rearing cycles in a year without antibiotics.
Management is the major key. Once the bird's are comfortable, the breed's feed conversation ratio will hit optimal. People are hitting 1.5 fcr now on professional feeds with <4% mortality with close house pen.
However, a good broiler poultry farmer no matter management level will still have to use some products.
- Water sanitizers
- Amino acid supplements
- Menthol/Eucalyptus oil
- Vaccines (Gumboro & Newcastle) x2
- Molasses
- Anti stress medications.
- Anticoccidial control. Could be Sulpha based WSPs, Feed based Ionophores, Coccidial Vaccines, Toltrazuril/Diclazuril etc

That's why I don't eat broilers because the are genetically modified with injections and boosters which has adverse effects on you the consumer of their meat.

Get the barks of mango tree (the internal side of the bark), blend it to powder form, then soak it with clean water. Sift the chaffs away after a day. Then give them to drink. It works like magic. Your birds won't fall sick and die.

After eating chicken here in Egypt, I concluded that what we eat in Nigeria is nothing far from chaff. Their broiler meat is stronger than layers in Nigeria and very cheap. They sell by kg. You can get live chicken of weight 5kg for 170egyptian pounds equivalent to 5270. They go all natural on the Feeding and no supplement. Trust me, in Nigeria, you can’t get it for 10k

When systems work, the regulation will be top-notch

Local eggs are healthy. If you are eating commercial layer eggs, you are eating chaff with zero nutritional value.
