Meet the former banker who quit his job to join the fight aginst Boko Haram

Meet Muazu Alhaji Misiya, a former banker who quit his job to join the fight aginst Boko Haram

Many people are interested in having a career in banking. Many are ready to give up everything in order to work in the banking sector. Some people prefer working in this environment. But others don’t.

Some people are not built to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses talking about mission statements.

But no matter the stress that is associated with a banking job, no one will give up his work as a banker to join the military in the war front, especially where the battle is the fiercest.

It would be hard for someone to leave the comfort of his air conditional office in order to join the military in fighting against Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists under the scorching hot Sun or in the cold of the night.

This is the case of Muazu Alhaji Misiya, who was a banker but later abandoned his banking job to join the ranks of the Civilian Joint Task Force fighting alongside the military against the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents.

Muazu Alhaji Misiya was a graduate of Mathematics from the university of Maiduguri, Borno State. He’s an indigene of Bama, Borno State, one of Boko Haram’s strongholds that was recently liberated.

Alhaji Misiya left his job at one of the leading banks in Nigeria in May 2016 to join the vigilante movement in the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency, and he was part of the joint effort which liberated many towns and villages from the grasp of Boko Haram.

embarassed I pity anyone fighting a war created by the elites and evil politicians, even Yoruber advocates don't plan to fight for the country or believe their candidates.

The likes of Yusuf Buhari and El Chapo's child should be at the forefront.

He's been battling Boko Haram since 2014. Even when he was still working as a banker. During state of emergency when all banks were closed, he did not stay at home with his family, instead he went out to fight, and he's still fighting till this moment as we speak.
