Elxandre:

Don't be too sure.
My brothers redmi 5 got stolen about 3 years ago. We tracked it for a while before it went offline. Turns out it had been successfully flashed, as he later found it with his classmate. grin
You don't understand,Find my device is a feature on all Redmi phones, you have to activate it on your phone. Did your brother open a MI account? Did he activate find my device on his Redmi? The answer is no.
Like I said earlier a Redmi phone whose find my device is activated, cannot be used as a phone unless the person that locked it input his MI account ID and password OR the phone is dismantled.

If find my device wasn't activated, how were we tracking it?

You can contact me for your original, and long lasting phone accessories, there are only few places you can get these qualities. Oraimo products are also very durable.

Get Oraimo charger 5V 2.1A or FIL charger 5V 2 4A. The Oraimo has a scratch card silver which you can scratch and check the code on their website to check if it's original.

One of the easiest way to know an original charger is the USB cord. When buying a charger always look at those 2 squared holes on the USB. If the wire u see inside is brown it's original, if it's grey it's fake

Going for cheap fake ones will kill your device. Go to reputable company shops like Intel, Oraimo, etc. or their legit distributors to buy quality USB cables and adapter plugs.

where do you reside.
If it's Lagos State; go to alaba. Go to obosi plaza ( building where GTB and FCMB Bank share the same plaza), go upstairs and ask for downtown or pastor's shop; I patronize downtown most Sha.
