A few months ago I came here seeking for a solution to my boyfriend weed addiction. He started smoking to ease his financial pains.
As a guy of 22 he's responsible for taking care of his family, he's fund his younger brother university education, his sister schooling and his mom business.
I told he that he should try and understand that he isn't the one who decided to bring them to this life so he's not his business how they feed, his parents made the decision to bring them to this life, so it's their responsibility to take care of them. His parents are still alive and well. His dad is just a jobless, sexist idiot, his mom is a very nice woman but very lazy. I asked him to call his parents to order, which he did, he told them that he is no longer interested in taking care of his siblings and he will help from time to time but it's no longer his responsibility.
He has been working since 15 to take care of children they brought to this earth.

Secondly I asked him a simple question. With all the friends he claims to have, if he's in need how many can he call to ask for help, he was dumbfounded, he didn't really have a answer. They can buy him weed and drinks but not food, they can help him get a sex worker but not a job. So he has cut them of. I told he not to make it too obvious to them, if he sees them on the road, he can greet them but the over familiarity has stopped.

Thirdly I advise he to go to church. I'm not a very religious person but I think it will help him and it did, he has made new Friends, and they have given him some job opportunity which he is very happy for.

Apart from the smoking of weed which thank God he has stopped. He's the nicest guy I have ever met, he is the type of guy that will cook for u, play with u and comfort u. He doesn't see women as sex objects, he doesn't put lable on people because of their religion, tribe or beliefs, he loves reading, eating healthy and exercising, he doesn't cheat, he believes that if he's with u, he's with u.
U rarely see a NIGERIAN MAN that's doesn't see cheating has he's RIGHT

Please what can I do to ensure he stays like this. I need more advise

It's not his responsibility, he didn't bring anybody to this life so y should he destroy his life to take care of them.
Imagine leaving school at 15 to take care of his family, always thinking of how to make more money, always unhappy. His not his responsibility to take care of them, their parents are alive. It was their decision to bring them to this earth so they should deal with it.
Last week he decided he's going back to school, he brought some books and entrol in a jamb lesson, he's wants to go to the university.
