The 3 Important Mistakes You Need To Avoid In Your IELTS Exam. by Jadesola123(m): 10:52am On Jul 06, 2022
If you are currently planning to write the IELTS exam, then you need to learn about this mistakes that could simply make it difficult getting the exact band score you need.

While everyone knows the importance of having to score the minimum score required in the IELTS exam.

So many people still fall guilty to traps that easily happen to them and this way could easily hurt their score and make them to write the exam all over again.

Here are my own top 3 mistakes you need to avoid right now.

Talking too little in your speaking.

During your speaking session, a set of questions will be asked of you and based on your answer, you will be judged by it.

One of the mistakes lots of student make during this session is that they tend to just speak little and end it there.

While your answers might be correct.

The key reason why you are being asked these questions is to see how you can communicate with others.

So if your sentences and tone of your response isn’t structured in ways that communicate to the person you are talking to.

You would definitely be scored low on this.

This is why practising is necessary if you really must pass this exam.

Having too many main ideas in your writing task:

During the writing session, where you are required to write based on some topics.

One of the mistakes people make is simply writing too many different ideas clogged up together.

Doing this would only make your writing to be more complex hence reducing your score in that task.

It's no wonder people get to have very low score in that aspect.

That said.
Understand your topic before you anything down.

Not perfectly understanding the writing question and how much you are required to write:

During the writing session, you will be required to write based on a topic that is given to you.

One of the mistakes many people make is simply writing shorter version of the letters thinking it would score them more, they call it (straight to the point)

But most people don't know that there is already a minimum amount of words you are expected to write.

Come short under this.

Then your score would have been greatly reduced.

Write more than this and you would be good.

But it's not just about writing more.

Its all about how you start your writing and let it flow into whatever case you are trying to present and closing it. (Making your write up interactive and reasonable).

Once you can have this to heart. You would be fine.

I Hope this helps in your quest to help you write and pass your ielts exam.
