I conceptualized a simple and cheap way to get rid of weevils from grains and will appreciate if you can assist in helping to pass the information to, especially, Farmers with small holdings and Rice Marketers.

It supersedes the Freezer and Oven Methods I came across online because it can be used for any quantity of grains and does not require huge financial input to treat large quantities.

It supersedes the sunning Method because it is not weather dependent and does not need long hours of sunshine.

I strongly believe since this method gets rid of weevils, it will also simultaneously rid grains of the larvae and possibly destroy the eggs. This will certainly reduce the amount of pesticides needed for grain preservation because what would be necessary is to fumigate the store before placing the heat treated and bagged grains on pallets in the store. The process can then be repeated each time there is a need to replenish the store.
