Can't really recall what I did wrong... But I remember mom wanted to guve me a good beating usung a hanger. I took to my heels and she ran after me.
Our compound was very massive and spacious. After running for a while, i looked back; behold! Mum was still running after me. So, i jumped the fence to escape.

My sisters came looking for me that night and brought me back home... Mum had gone out, when she came- they all begged on my behalf and mum did as though all was well.

My mistake was going to sleep... That was the first and only time i got the beating of my life from sleep

hahahaha! Almost everyone in Nigeria experienced late night beating. The most painful part is that, in the beginning it seems you're dreaming until you receive original oraimo cord for neck several times

If while growing up, you're someone that likes rough play, you fit play from morning till night or that you usually steal meat from pot at night, na night go be your regular punishment time .

While growing up, i loved meat ehh , so any time someone steals meat in our house, the person go rush come cut for me because whether na me steal am or not, everybody go don reason me as person wey steal am. Na why them dey always cut for me, make e no be like say the accused no benefit. Even when the person cut my share, me sef no fit resist. Na so so Cane i dey chop almost every night, me sef come dey reason why i like meat.

E reach one time wey be say dem no go even ask again, once meat lost like this, them go just drag my ear go palour dey flog me.. Neighbors come even sabi me...
Any time my mum dey flog me for night and i dey shout, neighbors go dey beg my mum from the room"Abeg forgive am, e no go steal meat again". Wetin dey vex me then be say, dem no dey ask wetin sup ohh.....Based on say na me dey collect beating, the matter go be meat....



As our Ancestors would say "The best time to flog a child is at night when nobody, not even the neighbors can stop the lashes ".
