Revealed: Real reason Tinubu picked Shettima as running mate

Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, announced Kashim Shettima as his running mate yesterday.

Tinubu made Shettima public following his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

His decision came after his replacement, Kabiru Masari, resigned from the position.

Tinubu had submitted Masari’s name to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, before the deadline for submitting running mates.

Tinubu had led Nigerians to believe that Masari was his running mate until yesterday, when he revealed his final decision.

However, Nigerians were disappointed by the APC presidential candidate’s decision to run on a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

However, Deji Adeyanju, a socio-political commentator, explained why Tinubu chose a Muslim-Muslim ticket against the wishes of many Nigerians.

Adeyanju suggested that Tinubu chose a Muslim-Muslim ticket due to a lack of quality opposition in Nigeria.

Adeyanju described Nigeria’s opposition as useless and divided in a series of tweets.

“They can dare such a brazen move of Muslim-Muslim ticket because they know the opposition is useless and divided,” Adeyanju says. And they will win if the opposition does not listen to my wise advice.

“Tinubu and the APC claim to be unconcerned. The message of the Muslim-Muslim ticket is overpowering. In fact, they are laughing, and with a divided opposition, they will laugh even harder in February.”

The only reason Tinubu picked Shettima is because Shettima is Loyal to Tinubu. Asiwaju and Shettima were the masterminds of the Chibok girls abduction. Have you seen Tinubu play politics with the Kaduna train attack, End sars or even the killing of Debora Samuel? Your guess is as good as mine.
