I’m thinking of going the solar way since NEPA in my city is effective yet never constant. I hear it is possible to sell excess energy back to the grid to lessen the load on NEPA. How does it work?

Hmm. Nairaland surprised me.

Don't sell into the grid.
You can do off grid for a set of shop owners or interested neighbors.

@meobizy brilliant idea. I salute your courage but right now selling excess energy back to NBET is still unrealistic due to constitutional constraints (some firms/company are stuck here too), also the amount you might want to sell might not be large enough for bulk purchase.
The poster above me has offered you the best advice right now, if you can approach nearby businesses on supplying them electricity, sit down with them on appropriate pricing and get them metered to avoid stories that touch, then your idea can be implemented.

I know this is Nairaland so won’t hold my breath on getting useful information. If this thread stays past four hours and I’m unsatisfied, na delete go sure pass.

I have nothing else to add. Indeed you cannot sell back to the power companies there because there is no constitutional provisions for it, and no traffic rate for it too. Your perspective about nairaland is low because you are on the wrong threads or you based it on the kids and idiooots that comment more often than the adults here. Let me just believe that your signature is either a joke or bait.
