mine was a refurbished, rebranded cool pad turned tecno camon.yes, you know the one. Things were terrible for us and I needed a phone that could WhatsApp cause I was returning back to school. When I went to buy it,i saw smaller vivo phones but then this big screen thing entered my eye and after checking the settings I saw 4gb ram ,64gb ROM. Wowza!! and it was cheap too just 10k. In my mumu mind i thought I had made a steal ,ah! I don suffer. On getting home with my new device I did the needful and charged it , if you see slow charging ,chei! and then the 2500 mah removable battery dies like reverse flash. zoom! playstore wasn't working. I had to collect the little apps I could from my younger sister. and some didn't even install. 4gb ,64gb oshi.became 1gb 11gb . Then the charging ic spoilt after 2 weeks.i had to buy desktop which ended with the battery being spoilt. imagine charging something With desktop for 12hrs only to get 5 percent.. Before the charging ic spoilt ,the battery kept depleting itself,driving me nuts. In the end,after the battery spoilt i was reduced to using Nokia battery with paper wedged in the back and eventually I went to church one morning,returned to see that there phone had given up on me. system crash. 15 Likes |

MOTOROLA A1000 1. I used desktop to charge it for over 2months, couldn't find the charger. Then the chargers I bought in CV were all fake, I couldn't charge the phone while on, as soon as I put charger, it would switch off so I could only charge it while off, this lasted for 6months till I was able to buy used charger from a Guru repairer for 2k back then in 2005 or so 2. I took the phone for upgrading and since then it wouldn't stay booted, anytime I tried to call out, it would switch off and restart so I couldn't make call with it. I didn't enjoy the phone for the almost 2years I had it but I was glad I sold it for 10k, I bought it around 25k and people who saw it thought I bought it for 100k back then. I enjoyed it sha, it was one of the most advance Symbian gaming phone after the nokia N-gage QD 2 Likes

| ok there was one phone that I bought , and I posted it on nairaland. Omo nairalanders dey smart fa. They told me that I should update them After 3months of usage that the phone will show me shege . I thought it was a joke sha . But truly after few months the new phone I bought started misbehaving you go dey o. Call phone go off play FB videos small time e go trip off . � . Ngwanu snap camera na wahala and na new phone o sealed and packaged 4gb ram was actually 900+mb 64gb rom na 16gb . I later sold the phone half the price . . Since then before I buy any phone I will research and read users reviews . . .Next time if you want to buy any phone post the phone first on nairaland and see reviews 8 Likes 1 Share |

A brand called Fotola. Bought a brand new phone branded LG with Lg logo and all.Tested everything ,was satisfied and got home to p.imp it Brethren,phone refused apps,went off and rebooted only for its name to change to Fotola.Wow! Went back to make a case,then threatened to go to the police/CPC,receipt and packet got stolen by the Oso ahia boys mediating .lmao. Ike agum. 2 Likes |

One phone like that the name na Gowin. Name wey be like Godwin. . After just 3 days of purchase, I was already looking for a buyer. I couldn't get a decent price for it. Since GSM came to Nigeria I will tell my journey and the number of fake phones I have used. In 2004 while in NYSC Camp in Sagamu we had MTN had slashed the prices of SIM Cards and that starts the fake phones journey. My PPA was in Abeokuta North My guys in the lodge gave me their Alawey to get them MTN SIM Card in Abeokuta. Of course I did and I used part of my money and head to Lagos for the first time without my guys knowing. Went to Computer Village in Ikeja for the first time in my life. Incidentally became the first time I was scammed in buying a fake TRIUM Phone. Indomie generations please don't bother you won't know the phone. So I got the phone from a lady who sells from a showcase. She directed me where to get a bus back to Abeokuta because it was getting late. Got to the lodge finally found out the phone hardly charged to 5% the screen will go blind. Finally gave the phone to my girlfriend then knowing that my N7k used in getting the phone was gone my guys laughed the hell out of me. Saved another money got MY X1, I used to for a long time. It was stolen then later got one Bird phone with a blue screen it didn't last for a year was stolen. A good friend of mine gifted me a NOKIA 2310. Few months ago I brought itel A33 for my wife a decision I knew it will end with a disaster. True to it, the charging pot. The hanging, the camera they are all a massive disaster. By all means I think Transsion phones have poor quality. Never again with them. 2 Likes 1 Share |
