Na electronic transmission of result killed them, coupled with BVAS. Kudos to INEC!!! Only issues now are vote buying and over-voting. For overvoting, INEC needs to start holding polling unit officers accountable, because no voter should be issued a ballot unless dully accredited. Hence, any overvoting is a "fraud" committed by the INEC officer at the polling unit. Additionally, INEC collation officers should have no right to cancel a polling unit result on account of one ballot over-voting. There was a case where the difference was 1 and another was 3. INEC needs to put modalities in place to ensure that where overvoting occurs, the results should not only be canceled, the polling unit officer should be prosecuted for issuing more ballots than what he/she accredited 2 Likes |
