The Coca-Cola Company has promoted consummate marketing professional, Phoebe Dami-Asolo as its Director of Operations, India Franchise. She makes history as the first female African to occupy this role.

Prior to her elevation, she was the Senior Commercial Manager of the company, where she was responsible for driving profitable business growth through the excellent execution of Commercial Parameters in trade. Recall, she joined the company as a Customer Marketing & Commercial Manager and was later elevated to Acting Franchise Operations Director before she became the Senior commercial Manager.


Commenting on the promotion, she described it as “an incredible opportunity” and a humbling one that she hopes will Inspire young African Talents to stop at nothing to achieve their dreams, especially females.


She commenced her career in Nigeria in 2012 at the Nigerian Breweries as an Assistant Manager for the Amstel Malta and Fayrouz brands. In 2016, she was elevated to the position of Brand Manager, Strongbow Apple Ciders, a position she held till she left to join Reckitt Benckiser in July, of the same year.

At Reckitt Benkiser, she assumed the position of Brand Manager for one of the company’s flagship brands, Dettol. Exactly two years later, following her achievements with the Dettol brand, she was elevated to the position of Brand Manager, West Africa where she was in charge of such brands as Harpic, Dettol, Jik, and Mortein in the West African markets. She was there till she left to occupy her present position.


Phoebe has an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management from the Imperial College Business School. Prior to that, she obtained a BA Econs (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from The University of Manchester in 2011. Between her Masters and Degree, she attended prestigious Lagos Business School, and Pan-Atlantic University to study Professional Development and Brand Management. She also studied Marketing at Harvard University.
