He shall save his people from their sins.
He showed up to destroy the works of the devil.

The testimony of a believer in Christ should be that of being saved from iniquities.
A bad mouth turned a good mouth.
A slut turned a saint.
A liar turned a truth teller.
An alcoholic turned sober.
A beast turned harmless etc.

Anything besides that is not life from the eternal life himself - Jesus Christ.

His death is not freedom to go on doing what you feel or want.
But a provision of remission of sins past.
Freedom from sinning.
And the obtaining of forgiveness when you mess up, with the motive of repentance.

Do not be deceived, because you can be.
[ So many are deluded right now]
That's why we are told to be careful and watch, not to be deceived.
For the ones who claim Christ as their Lord, and keep living in sins will find themselves in hell, if they don't repent.
1 Corinthians 6 : 8 - 11
James 4 : 8

"Let him that stole steal no more" entails repentance.
Ephesians 4 : 28

" Let fornication, covetousness, uncleanness ( homosexuality and co), not be once named among you " implies repentance.
Ephesians 5 : 3

"Let everyone that names the name of Christ, depart from iniquity entails repentance.
Isn't departing from a wrong doing repenting?
And it begins with godly sorrow?
2 Timothy 2 : 19
2 Corinthians 7 : 9 - 11

Severally Jesus spoke to the church ( candle sticks before Him; indicating they are His) in the early chapters of the book of Revelation to repent from the wrongs they were doing.
And you with your high and mighty opinion do say and promote that repentance from being bad is not one of the messages of Christ!
