The shorter one is obviously a Gabboon viper. That compound is toxic and should be totally checked for more snakes. Burn some tyres in mid-afternoon and get your clubs and matchetes ready for a massacre. In the alternative, hire some unknown Gunmen or ebubeagu

Just keep fuel in the gallon or snipper to pour on those reptiles any time you see them and more especially when you may be home alone and they may come around

Dangerous animals hardly venture into human habitation. But stupid snake will always venture into human habitation.
A couple sat on a bed on holiday somewhere in Latin America. They never knew that two snakes were already lying inside the materrasse of the bed. The two snakes killed the holiday makers.

Those snakes look well fed and dangerous.
1. Get rid of their habitable places like bushes and heaps of trash.
2. Get rid of their prey like rodents, frogs and lizards.
3. Lastly, plant snake repellants like tobacco plant around your house.
4. Drop Aluminum Phosphide tablets in all the holes you see outside your house to kill all the animals (especially snakes) living in those holes. DO NOT use the tablets inside the house, as it has been known to also kill human beings by smell, contact or ingestion.
These measures should rid them from your environment. If all fails, employ a professional snake chaser to help.

Vipers, not puff adder. They are very venomous

Those are carpet vipers and there would be more in the vicinity because they often produce many offsprings. They are probably siblings and the others would be somewhere around.

Fumigate your compound.

I killed 2 on the same spot, the same night but not the same time in 2019, a 3rd was killed by the gateman few days after, all of them about the same size. If they are given birth to in that area, they are usually plenty.
