You were not in existence before you where born and you will never be in existence when you die.You die because you are a living thing and all living things must die,No matter how powerful you are.
Then again, there is nothing like Rapture!
Life continues after you die, either you like it or not.When you die, your world comes to an end.Not your father's or even your mother's.Your world comes to an end when you die.
Just live your life and be happy and don't inflict pain on your fellow human while doing that.

When the car, phone etc was not yet made, they were not in existence. But as soon as they are created, there living and de-existence is as determined by their creator.

And as you see, all the things that man has brought to existence remain in existence as long as man is interested in keeping them in existence.
