When those ruling a country don't love it, this is the sort of things you see. The basic reason why Nigeria is in this deplorable state is because those in authority have no atom of love or even passion for the country. They see Nigeria as a cash cow to be milked endlessly without even trying to feed it or attend to it's health issues.

Buhari loves Niger republic more than he does for Southern Nigeria. He once confronted Lam Adeshina of Oyo state for allowing Yorubas to kill his people in the state yet many of the bandits terrorizing Northern states are from Niger republic but he has never confronted them. Buhari is on record as the first president in the history of the world to vote against his own citizen when he supported a Nigerien man against an Igbo man from Nigeria who contested for a UN top level position.

Buhari has been building roads and rails into Niger republic, buying vehicles for them even with borrowed money from China!

Now, the question is, since they love Niger republic so much, why did they fight against Gideon Okar when he tried to cut them off to join them? Why did they fight Ojukwu when he broke away from Nigeria?

The answer is this, they can't do without Southern resources.
