CAN itself is a bigot. They’ve marginalized northern Christians ever since.

Cry me a river. You're too ignorant to know that MURIC which is the equivalent of CAN is headed by a southern Muslim. Mugu.....
This is the reason why everyone must stop talking about religion and focus on the real issues. You can't be crying over what you're guilty of. That's hypocrisy! CAN that's crying over not giving VP to northern Christian minority must start by practising what they preach. They should tell us why no northern Christian is competent enough to lead CAN. Nonsense!
Archbishop John Oniakan led from 2007 to 2010,he is from Kogi state northern Nigeria...deal will it!
I also didnt know that MURIC is the equivalent of CAN,so MURIC speaks for all muslims,he has tacit support of the sultanate and MURIC came out before the APC primaries and said Yoruba muslims will never vote for a Yoruba christian if a Yoruba christian wins the primaries,in regards to Prof. Osibanjo and now you devil advocates want christians to support a muslim-muslim ticket. Your muslim-muslim ticket is dead on arrival.

sad Even though I'm a born again Christian, I think we Christians should be ashamed of ourselves for heating up the polity unnecessarily. We Christians and Muslims should understand that Nigeria do not revolve around our both faiths. We have traditionalist and nonbelievers who have been politically marginalized all this years without been given any sort of consideration. There is nothing bad in having a Muslim/Muslim ticket if we truly care about the development of our country. We have had a Christian VP In Osinbajo for almost 8 years, how has it helped we Christians?

Let's stop condemning our Muslim brothers and sisters for political gains. We Christians and Muslims are one. I urge everyone one of us to support the Muslim/Muslim ticket for the prosperity of our nation. We Christians should learn from the tolerance of our Muslim brothers so we can have a peaceful nation sad

Infact the only relevance of MUMURIC is to be making noise on Nairaland. MUMURIC chairman can not even sit on the same sit with The Sultan of Sokoto.

Apc is not a religious body either. It's a political party and political parties are formed to first win elections and then govern the people.

If CAN is crying over issues of inclusion, they should start by practising what they preach.

People like you are the reason I believe common sense is actually not common.
What is wrong is wrong no matter your effort to paint it right.

Nigeria is not a Muslim country and by this note can't have Muslim Muslim ticket for the highest position in the country.

Note the north can't accept Christian Christian ticket for same position so why should we.

Stop ranting like a mad man . There is no relationship between light and darkness in this matter.
The country is already in a bad state now and MM is making it worse but it can't work and can't come to pass.

CM or MC is the formula.

Don't let's be ignorant of certain things: succession in CAN is done in a unique way, where President of the association is rotated among her five blocks; Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN),
Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN),
Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN) /Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN),
Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), and
(TEKAN and ECWA Fellowship).
Who questions why the leadership/powership of islam in the country statically vested in Sultan of Sokoto, since time immemorial?
Stop this pertinence, please.

Trajectory of CAN elected Presidents from
inception to date - Dominic Cardinal
(1). Ekandem (late) from 1976 till 1986.
(2). Anthony Cardinal Okogie from 1988 till 1995.
(3). Prelate Sunday Mbang from 1994 till
2003.
(4). Primate Jasper Akinola from 2003 till 2007.
(5). Archbishop John Onaiyekan from 2007 till 2010.
(6). Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor from 2010 till
2016.
(7). And the current president...Reverend
(Dr) Samson Ayokunle who was elected in 2016.

Does it mean CAN as a body of Christ did not see any Northern Christian qualified to be the Association's President since 1976 to date?

Why the predominance by Southern
Christians...?
Does this imply that the northern Christian are less Christians or is it because they are in minority in northern Nigeria. Are they also minority in the Christian family in Nigeria?
This is amazing as equity, justice and
fairness is not playing in CAN.

Yet CAN is promising fire and brimstone
against APC for not finding a Christian
Northerner to be VP Candidate....when they could not find a worthy Northern Christian to lead their Association for 42 years now..
He who calls for equity must come with
Clean hands.
