Hi, I am a regular user of Nairaland even though I don't comment, I had to create a profile so I can respond to your post.

Have you accepted the offer?
In my Opinion, you and intending employees should be aware of the following before accepting the offer:

#Egatee has high employee turnover, hiring and firing occurs every month.

#You are not entitled to leave of absence. E.g work till you drop. grin

Before accepting offer of employment be sure to Ask the following questions for your interviewer?

1. Are you going to be employed as a contract staff or full staff?

2. Your job description

3. Performance expectations, in terms of numbers you are expected to meet. KPIs.

Which MUST be CLEARLY spelt out in your offer letter.

VERY IMPORTANT!!

Take the job if you are in a dire situation and observe, in a month or two you will have found out enough data to decide your next move.

I once rejected a job worth 150k 3 months ago after initially accepting their offer because of bad reviews I got here on Nairaland. A week later, I got another job offer with same salary. Both organisations are just about 100m apart from each other.

In hindsight, I feel I made the best decision. Also, don't dispel your instincts. At the end, na u dey wear d shoe sha. If pocket dry, pick the job.

Come to think of it, I think I once got an invitation from Egatee on LinkedIn for a Digital Marketer, can't recall clearly.

Good luck.

There is something I usually do when I get a new job, I would take a leave of absence from my current place of work and resume at the new office before tendering my resignation. The few days I have there, I use it for fact finding. I implore you to do the same, it has never failed me. A lot can happen then.. your offer letter can be changed to a new offer you wouldn't like, you can be drifted to a department you don't like.

#Just so you know, the physical reviews is much worse than the online reviews the OP posted.

I am very glad I didn't accept the offer. Egatee is a good place to work, but my state of mind is of utmost importance. I would not want to work in a place where I am scared of being the next person to be sacked.

Wish you the best!!

The worst mistake you can make is to accept an offer from a toxic place because you have no job. It can destroy your life. Toxic places are known for gaslighting or can give you a bad reference to your next employee. You could even work and be sacked without pay in a toxic place. I advise you not to take that chance.

@paulgrundy and @blinezman

Please kindly confirm this company's work culture. I got a call for an interview with them tomorrow, so I need to know if it's a good one, so I don't waste my time. I am leaving my current place due to a lot of reason, and I don't want to enter another kind of saga again
