Child Abandonment Is A Norm In Nigeria. by Ulunne777(f): 11:31am On Aug 01, 2022
It is normal for Nigerian men to abandon child(ren) for their partner and never look back. They abandon both healthy and disabled ones once it doesn't suit them.

So many threads on Nl attest to this.
Some mothers are still at hospital wards after their overwhelmed partners disappeared especially when multiples are born .

Let me not talk about when a disabled one comes like the Divorce thread on FP yesterday.Ppl asking the woman to take up the job without complaints.A heavily pregnant woman.
Below is a cry from Jodie, the wife of David,a nollywood actor. He moved on and never looked back.

Dear men,what informs this decisjon?
Do women really have super powers?

Mike Ezuruonye abandoned the wife after they had an Albino child.
David Nnaji abandoned this baby for Jodie after he saw cerebral palsy.
This baby is 7 yrs old now taken care of alone by the mother.

When the children become great and well to do tomorrow and refuse to acknowledge their fathers, the deadbeat fathers who turned their back on the innocent kids will start blaming the woman for turning their kids against them.

And if the children don’t become great or well-to-do?? That’s such a shallow reason to advance. I’m sure you can do better than that. It’s just wrong plain and simple, whether the children become great or not. That should never happen. The children didn’t decide of their own accord to just pop out.

Don't just mind that daughter of eve.
A message was passed instead of analysing d message d way it's suppose to be rather she started playing that nonsense mind game, dis is not d time for such stupid game neither is it d time for issues.
Well, I feel for all d SPECIAL CHILDREN ALL OVER D WORLD AND THEIR MOTHERS TOO. To Carter for a special child requires a lot of sacrifice both financial, mental, emotional and psychological sacrifices.
Just that we found ourselves in a society that doesn't care about humanity, a society where dog eat dog, a society where all man for himself.

I still don't understand your point, because the person you quoted isn't wrong at all, it is what is pervalent in Nigeria and mostly what deadbeat dads do, they also accuse mothers of those ones that becomes successful. If the children doesn't become successful, deadbeat dad's also accuse mothers and go on ranting spree if the kids don't associate with them, so how is her point wrong?

There's nothing wrong with addressing the issues on their merit. You lots should stop projecting the stvpidity of your deadbeat fathers on others.

It's wrong to abandon a child whether he turns out fine or not, that's the message, dwell on that.

Seems like you lack comprehension skills, what merit are you talking about? Where exactly did I say abandoning kids is right whether he turns out fine or not?

Do not project the stupidity of assuming everyone with an opinion has a deadbeat dad like yours.

A woman was ranting about the challenges of raising a special child, she never mentioned that the spouse abandoned her and the child but you and your fellow "Bitterleaf FC" teammates brought in your Nollywood induced reality to the fore.

You lots will drown in your anger and bitterness but there's absolutely nothing you can do to displace men from authority in this world. Men will always have their way in everything while subhumans and second class citizens like you will continue to wail.

Even Jodie has mentioned it countless times that the father of her child abandoned them, but in your quick haste at thoughtlessness and baselessness, you are quick to see that an attack at deadbeat dad's automatically means an attack at all men, are you a deadbeat dad? If you are not, why the pains on their behalf? Mike Ezenruonye abandoned his albino child is he a not a deadbeat? Are albinos not humans? We should sympathize with deadbeats because? So many single mothers around taking care of their kids alone, where are the fathers? Why are they not present in their child's life? Are they not deadbeat?

And yes we will continue to drown in anger and bitterness of deadbeats till they get sense and become responsible fathers, we will continue to direct our anger at them, if you see this anger direction and bitterness as a problem, you need to check your mental health, and try not have kids please

If you want to talk about men in authority in the world, I hope you Nigerian men don't classify yourselves as one, cos all you have achieved in this country is destruction, more destruction, and total destruction. And your mother, sisters, female relations and cousins are the subhumans and second class citizens only, it ends in your lineage and generation, so therefore, I am right in my assumption that your dysfunctional thinking is as a result of your dysfunctional upbringing and state of mind, hence your support of deadbeats.

This is exactly why you lots are mandated to write IELTS despite English being the language of instruction from nursery.

What was posted here had nothing to do with abandonment, it never mentioned Mike and his wife, rather it's SOLELY about the suffering of a mother and her special needs son. You obviously don't attend GNS classes that's why you and your brain-dead excuse of human wastes conflate and string up unrelated issues from thin air to suit your dumb narrative.

ADDRESS ISSUES ON THEIR MERITS.

You're a second class citizen cos whatever you have today is basically an affirmative action that can be reversed anytime. I will stop arguing with a subhuman henceforth.

That why “tHe wEst is FemiNizeD” according to SOME of them with their very low IQs. Just because there’s a modicum of accountability holding them just a tiny bit responsible for the children they created.

The Op's topic is about abandonment, the Op further said that Mike Ezenruonye abandoned his albino child, but since you are too slow to see and comprehend, that line of assimilation failed you, no wonder most of you are daft, you are what people call an EDUCATED ILLITERATE.

You, your family, lineage, and generation are sub humans and second class citizens, you all are the dregs of the society, and whatever privilege and basic necessities you all have will be strippped off from you very soon,

Na you go fvck yourself by yourself las las, tsinannu.

Exactly. You'd be surprised that if not for some states welfare, most don't look back.
That thread garnered a lot of reaction because it is abnormal for them that a woman returned her child.
