Everybody knows how rough and exuberant kids used to behave when they are young, well, i wasn't exempted sorry to say

When we were young, we used to carry out some marvelous operations which are not to be heard, from playing out in odd hours to going to the rivers to bath without the consent of our parent(ofcourse they wouldn't allow us to go if we were to inform them), lying that we were heading to school which in reality we were going to our friends house to watch Jackie Chan, Jet Li, comandos and blue films, leaving our classroom wen we were supposed to be receiving lecture for a school farm just to fetch some yams and corn that we would eventually roast and eat besides the farm. Hmmmm dem many sha.

All these bn said and marked, the one that is really giving me some foods for thought is how we used to eat meat from our parent pot of soup. You guys knows how we used to bring out kpomo(kanda) and other asorted meats from the pot of soup and we would use our teeth to design it into proper rectangular or trapezoidal shape or any other shapes which would not allow us to be caught.
Imagine going to Ur mama's pot, bring out one big meat, trim the angles with ur teeth, change the shape from cuboid to parallelogram den return it back to its habitat . The mission was not to reduce the number of the meats but to satisfy your ojukokoro and still leave behind the number of meat met, tho each of them would suffered great reduction in weight and size

Now i have grown old, left all those behind (a no dey even fancy fish and meat again sef) i have turned to a man with responsibilities but Buhari happened along the line and everytin is supper-imposed.
And now... please how do i tell my kids wen dey grow to that stage not to tamper with mama's pot as everything is now costly,?? how do i tell them that they shouldn't touch the meat as it cost a fortune to bless the post with meat nowadays?? Pls how do i tell them that two wrongs doesn't make a right?

I Felt this, but God knows that the soup was very sweet then, hope our sins are forgiven.

you cant... instill in them the best value possible and let them make their own choices. but if they go to bed belly full, they wouldnt steal meat from the pot. if they go to bed hungry, then instead of blaming them, blame yourself for not providing enough food to them (and stop Blaming the gov for your inability to provide for your own children)

have you ever stolen meat from the pot while being belly full? sadly, in many families, children are fed ton of nonsense and then 1 tiny piece of meat... the day these same parents give their children a good balance of meat/veggies etc, thats when the pot stealing issue will disappear.
