2023: Allied Peoples Movement Concludes Substitution Of State House Of Assembly Candidate Oshimili North Constituency

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Delta state has successfully concluded the substitution of its Oshimili north constituency state house of assembly candidate for the 2023 general elections.

The process, which took place today thursday August 11 2022, saw the withdrawal of the winner of the party’s primary election, Ms Chume Sylvia Udoamaka, from the house of assembly race, which paved the way to a supplementary election, with Sir (Dr.) Chuks Okonji property developer from Ibusa as the sole aspirant.

Sir (Dr) Chuks Okonji was, therefore, declared the winner and returned as the house of assembly candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Oshimili north constituency in Delta state.

Earlier, the former house of assembly candidate, Ms Chume Sylvia Udoamaka said her withdrawal from the race was for personal reasons, adding that she was convinced that she made the right decision since she nursed the same house of assembly ambition with Sir (Dr) Chuks Okonji and they both shared a common vision for the party.

In a short speech, the new APM Oshimili north state constituency house of assembly candidate for the 2023 general election in Delta State; Sir (Dr) Chuks Okonji, called on all party faithful and the good people of Oshimili north constituency alike to join him in the onerous task of securing victory in the house of assembly election, which he admitted would not be an easy one.

He promised to run an all inclusive representation of the people if elected member of the state house of assembly, assuring that Oshimili north constituency would have a better deal with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in DTHA.

Delta State Chairman of the party and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, witnessed the exercise.
