Are You A Professional Graphic Designer Or A Graphic Designer? by Mosimileoluwaaa: 10:31pm On Aug 15, 2022
Atinuke is a graphic designer that designs flyers and logos for people. One faithful day, a client reached to her and told her that she just opened a skin care business and she would need a brand design.

A brand design is the foundation of brand identity. Brand design helps the audience( people) to recognize a company and products. The reason companies or businesses use it is because of how it attracts their audience( the people they want to sell to ) A brand design comprises of these three things typography, color palette and form or shape ( I would explain these ones briefly ) . Typography are the fonts : it is so important to choose brand fonts wisely. Colour palette i.e the colour, people ( the business audience ) have some psychological ties i.e strong bond to different colours, so using branding colours strategically can have a great impact on the amount and kind of people that are attracted to your business and also how your brand is perceived by your audienceeee e. MTN . Form / shapes, this isn't very notice able but it is very important, it includes round shapes or straight edged shapes.

Okay we had to divert a little bit from the story for clarity on what a brand design is. So back to the story, The client didn't tell Atinuke how she wanted it to look like or what she wanted, she didn't tell her the colour maybe she wanted blue, black, red or whichever colour. She just gave Atinuke her WhatsApp number and social media handles to post on the designs if necessary. ( Don't be surprised there are clients like this in fact a lot of them ). So, Atinuke being a graphic designer went to play store to download a lot of flyer maker apps and logo maker apps. Little did she know that this kind of work required professionalism..........

Do you want to know what happened to Atinuke and how she got the brand design done?

Then get your eyes peeled. I would share the rest of the story tomorrow. But wait....... Before then,

I have a free video that would educate and equip you more on brand design, the three things it comprises of and how you can be a professional at It ( so that you don't lose the clients that only give their Whatsapp numbers and Social media handles ).The information in this free video will make your fellow graphic designers envy you, your designs, the kimd of clients you get and your professionalism.

I am a beginner graphic designer. And I'm very interested in your tips and tricks. For example, I would like to know where do you usually get fonts for your projects? Do you create them yourself?

If you want to get weird, of course, you can create your own unique font. But I'm not one of those people. I like different fonts that I can download and use for free at this site ActionFonts.com. For example, I'm actively using Banco font in my works now. This font was used to create the logo of the famous skateboarding magazine - Thrasher. If you want to see exactly how this font looks like, check out the link I attached and use the font generator. Good luck!
