• It sets up the following phase of the investigation and gives the investigation of the issue continuity.
• It is an effective tool for conducting research and collecting trustworthy facts.

3. Features of a Good Hypothesis

• It must use all reasonable efforts to offer a suitable explanation for the phenomenon.
• Verification of the data is required.
• Written in simple, understandable language.
• Comply with past knowledge.
• Testable in light of current knowledge.
• It uses terms that are simple and understandable.
• Describes the expected relationship between the variables.
• Its reach should be restricted.

4. Importance of Hypothesis in Research
The following are the importance of hypothesis in research;
• It promotes the growth of knowledge in a particular topic.
• It facilitates the researcher's ability to base acceptable assumptions about uncertain situations on rationally established information.
• It provides direction for the research.
• It provides a framework on which the researcher can decide the sample and statistical methodologies to use.
• It provides the framework for outlining the study's conclusions.
5. How to Formulate Hypothesis in an Undergraduate Research
Although they are educated guesses or initial generalizations, hypotheses are not generated at random. The development of hypotheses requires a tremendous deal of thought and imagination. The creation of hypotheses can take many different forms, but they are frequently the result of an inductive logical thought process in which events inspire the development of a theory. After that, the researchers use a number of logical techniques to arrive at a hypothesis.
A hypothesis is a topic for future investigation and is frequently referred to as a question or inquiry. It frequently asks how or why a relationship between variables exists. It is simply an exploratory study based on literature reviews, surveys, and intuition. This could be a query, a statement, or a proclamation. These defensible claims can be used by the researcher to address the research problem. 6. Types of Hypothesis
Inductive and deductive hypotheses are divided into many categories based on their variations and wording.
1. Theoretical framework: The relationship between the variables demonstrates the significance of the interaction. If A is accurate, B will happen next. For instance, a student who prepares well for an exam will feel less test anxiety. In this instance, the researcher may draw a connection between two elements, such exam anxiety and study practices.
2. Null Hypothesis: A null hypothesis refutes and disproves the assertion of a declarative hypothesis. It shows that even if it seems real, it is far away because it is only a threat. The researcher must show that the final outcomes indicated in the declarative hypothesis truly take place and that their measure is described in a way that makes it difficult to easily dismiss them as having happened accidentally or by coincidence in order to reject the null hypothesis.
The null hypothesis is further subdivided into the two categories listed below:
1. Non directional null hypothesis: This kind will look for distinctions or patterns. Statement examples are shown below:
1. Variable x does not distinguish between the two groups.
2. Variable x does not distinguish between the two groups.
3. There is no connection both x and y are variables.
2. Directional null hypothesis: This kind can forecast which way the differences will go.
